Top 10 reasons why we support Quincy for city council

  1. Quincy Byrd is a valued member of Holland’s City Council. We need his continued unique presence to help make Holland an even better place to live, work and play.

  2. Quincy has personally felt the trauma and injustice of racial discrimination and is passionately against any type of discrimination.

  3. Quincy will continue to oppose big tax increases and support fiscally responsible and sustainable budgets.

  4. Quincy has and will continue to support measures to make Holland more energy efficient and a better steward of our natural resources.

  5. One of Quincy’s top priorities is to protect and improve Holland’s neighborhoods. He will stand firmly against any proposed zoning changes designed to increase housing density in already established and dense neighborhoods.

  6. Quincy listens to and respects all views. He never has and never will speak unkindly about someone because their views are different from his. Character matters.

  7. After Quincy faced homelessness, Habitat for Humanity helped provide him a house that he and his wife turned into their home. He then became active in Habitat for Humanity and served on its board so he could pay it forward by helping other families in need.

  8. Quincy strongly supports and appreciates the job Holland’s police do and is endorsed by the Holland Police Officer’s Association.

  9. Quincy is a man of faith and active in his local church.

  10. As a result of being a veteran, a victim of discrimination, a homeless person, a successful engineer, a devoted husband and father, and a community and church volunteer, Quincy has a very unique perspective. We need his voice.
