Byrd is the best fit for City Council.

For the good of the Holland community, we must re-elect Quincy Byrd to Holland City Council. Councilman Byrd is an advocate for our brave law enforcement officers and his presence on council is critical to helping maintain safe neighborhoods in Holland.

We have all seen the disgraceful attacks, both verbal and physical, targeting police officers ever since the death of George Floyd. While Mr. Floyd did not deserve to die, his death is no excuse for the abhorrent attacks on police. The overwhelming majority of police are decent men and women who care about their communities, and Councilman Byrd understands and appreciates this.

We have too many self-serving politicians at all levels of government who demonize the police to pander to their constituents. Councilman Byrd is a shining light amid this because he appreciates the tough job that police have, and he appreciates and rewards their courage while holding each one of them accountable.

We must have elected officials in law-enforcement officials who work together to keep our beautiful community safe and livable. We have this type of relationship between councilman Byrd and our law-enforcement agencies. We cannot let something so valuable to go by the wayside.
