Lived Experience. True Inclusion for our City.

Quincy has called Holland his home for more than 20 years.

Quincy feels called to serve, give back and provide truly inclusive leadership to the Holland Community.

His background isn’t like any other Holland city councilor. Quincy is generous with his time to family, friends, neighbors and his whole community, because he’s lived through the hardships. Having experienced homelessness, job insecurity and institutional racism, Quincy’s knowledge and understanding of this world is distinct among his fellow city councilors.

Quincy has been the single ‘No Vote’ on numerous controversial issues, because people or pieces were missing from the final ordinance. They weren’t inclusive. He has supported community investments that build up home ownership, the source of wealth-building for working families.

Quincy is a Habitat for Humanity family, and now serves as a board member and frequent speaker at Habitat events. He also serves on the Holland Human Relations Committee and is the council’s representative on the Neighborhood Revitalization Committee. Quincy is a devoted man of faith and church member who feels called to community.

Quincy gave back to all of us by serving honorably in the U.S. Army, and later attended Cornerstone University. Currently, he is an engineer at Pridgeon & Clay.

His wife, Sara, is a former employee of Holland Public Schools at Jefferson Elementary. Together, they have 4 children Quincy II, Holly, Ethan and Daisy who attend Holland Public Schools.

Quincy and his family like hiking through park trails, neighborhood walks, sunny beach days and outdoor activities.

JOBS AND BUSINESS EXPANSION

Holland has the fastest-growing economy in the U.S. Prior to COVID, we had the lowest unemployment rate in Michigan, and we leads the nation in job creation. We’ve been repeatedly ranked the #1 small city to start and grow a business.

Quincy knows strong business growth is essential to supporting working families. His advocacy has brought competitive taxes and utility rates to ensure everyone in Holland can find the job and career that fulfills them.

HELP FOR NEIGHBORS
LOWER TAXES AND FEES
